Bell Work: Students are writing samples of simple, compound and complex sentences that will be used in their personal narratives. Different types of sentences is a requirement for their Narratives.
Agenda: Students have the option of using the period to work on their narratives due Friday, or they may treat this like a normal Monday and silently read for time on their reading logs. Students are informed that by Wednesday they must have AT LEAST half a page written to be able to construct the editing checklist.
Tuesday Oct. 7
Bell Work:Students are reading over examples of personal narratives to use as a modeling aide for their own narratives.Students are to choose one of the examples to diagram in a plot chart. Students will identify the exposition, rising action(s), climax, falling action and resolution of the narrative.
Agenda: Students will spend the remainder of the period working on their personal narratives. Students are reminded that they should have AT LEAST half a page written by the time they leave class today. Students are also reminded that we will be going over an editing checklist on Wednesday and that I will be checking their progress on their narratives. This is to keep students on track for the due date of Friday Oct. 10
